  • Tourism-financed infrastructure also provides a better standard of living for people who do not participate directly in it. These facilities may include roads, railways, airports, drinking water, sanitation, waste management, communication equipment, radio, television, electricity, etc.

The negative causes on the society of the visiting country:

  • Social conflicts. Example: crime
  • Jobs in the tourism industry are often only auxiliary jobs such as waitresses, waiters. This gives the local population the feeling of inferiority.
  • Most tourists come from societies with other values of lifestyles other than their own. As a general rule, tourists from Western societies come with more liberal and less traditional ways of life
  • Tourists pay no attention to local moral customs and values. This has long-term effects on companies in the host country.
